Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on January 31, 1974. Her most well-known role is as Bo on the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk who is a renowned actress director producer playwright educator and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching television and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. She completed her studies at St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least Two early productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop located in Los Angeles, in 2007. In 2009, they were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. They were married in Fredericton on April 10, 2011, they renewed vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk had an infant son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron is her second child, and was born on 13th May, 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk fell pregnant during the final production of the season 3 finale and announced this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk is working on Lost Girl since the season's third finale episode premiered on January 6, 2013, announced on Twitter her intention to return June 4, 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on the fourth. CNN Cable News Network named Bo as well as Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the same-sex couple in Lost Girl to be one of its favorite TV Couples ever. E! Magazine declared that they were the top TV Couples of 2013. Entertainment Television. As a result of the popularity of the show, Silk has gained a large presence on social media.
